Keeping your HVAC systems healthy is all about being proactive. Guarantee your comfort this winter by scheduling furnace maintenance as soon as possible.
Even though winter started a little late this year, it’s important to remember that it’s still going to be here for a couple more months. We have yet to experience the coldest temperatures we will have this winter and your furnace may be dreading the day that we reach those extremes, especially if it hasn’t been serviced recently.
The last thing anyone wants to happen is a furnace breakdown.
They happen all the time, and sometimes they’re unpreventable, but more often than not, it’s due to a lack of maintenance. When your furnace has to work for longer cycles, it builds up more dirt and debris and can start to develop airflow issues, especially if the filter is dirty. Airflow problems are one of the leading causes of furnace breakdowns and proper service can identify and solve these issues before they even start to affect your home comfort.
These breakdowns often happen on some of the coldest days of the year and can make for a rush of customers trying to get their furnaces fixed. Obviously, we’ll help whoever needs it as soon as possible, but you can avoid the whole headache by being proactive.
Our very own Andrew Vasilak sat down with Tracy from Listed Plus TV to discuss proactive furnace maintenance just last week:
Everything we discussed above is magnified when your furnace is an older model. Units that are 10-20 years old are more vulnerable to breakdowns and expensive repairs, so it may be worth it to start look into what new systems are available.
