Hamco installed my air condition unit in 2020, it was not working and called the company, a worker came and worked on the unit for an hour, apparently there is a leak and another appointment is necessary, the workman Derek did a terrific job, and was a professional. I recommend this company for anyone needing furnace or air conditioner repairs.

Very good customer service on the phone - live person there whenever you call. Called on Thu afternoon and Friday morning the technician - Najim - came to check the problem with my AC. Unfortunately the fixing estimate came to half the price of a new unit so we desided to order a new one. Same day they called me with an appointment for Monday morning! Today with the new unit Murray and Victor came early and installed it. After they finished cleaned after themself and put everything on its place in my basement. Amazing job! Thank you!

Right from the prompt response to my call, the honesty and integrity from the sales department when I was desperate to replace what I thought was a system in need of replacement, I was so impressed with this company.I wasn't able to get the original installation company to return a call, book me a service appointment, or acknowledge the fact that I had left emails, called and needed a service before I could use my ductless unit. It doesn't perform well to start with, so I wasn't going to start it up without a service and cleaning. After 3 1/2 weeks of the hottest month in history, I got tired of living in a convection oven, and finally found Hamco. Many HVAC companies don't service ductless units, and I was desperate at this point. Their team was friendly, efficient and professional. They didn't sell me a new unit when I thought I needed it, Christian cleaned it up, testing the unit properly and took the time to explain the size of the unit, why it was working the way it was, or why it WASN'T cooling as efficiently as I had been expecting it to, and gave me some potential future options if I wanted to upgrade. He left it running, with us finally having a/c for the first time this year! We couldn't be happier with their service and will only be using them moving forward! Thank you again Christian!!

Update: We just had our annual maintenance done and as usual, the booking and service were done efficiently and professionally. Cameron was pleasant and before servicing the furnace and AC he was happy to answer a couple questions I had. Pleased once again with Hamco's service.We were recently faced with our 17-year-old furnace breaking down and beyond repair. Despite the extremely cold weather that resulted in a larger number of service needs for Hamco, Najim met with us in just over 24 hours, spent time accessing and explaining the situation and offering the best options for the needed replacement. He worked to get us up and running quickly with a Saturday install and left us with a space heater to ease discomfort overnight. He was personable, knowledgeable and took time to ensure we were happy with the decision we made. It wasn't an expense we had planned for but Najim eased the situation with his excellent customer service. He was happy to answer any questions we had and worked to ensure we got the best price and service possible. Veronika and Shemar arrived early the next day to replace our furnace with a new Daikin. They were also personable, professional and efficient. We feel fortunate to have Hamco to count on with HVAC needs. They have a great team of people who also seem to greatly appreciate how they are respected and treated by the company. It's wonderful to have a local family-owned business providing excellent service. We've been with Hamco (initial installs and service plans) for 17 years and plan to continue with them as needs arise.

Honest, expert advice! I asked HAMCO about adding a HEPA filter and UV light to my gas forced air furnace. Instead of selling me an expensive, unnecessary installation, Andrew honestly advised that portable units would suit my needs much better. That level of integrity is rare. They truly care about the client over making a quick profit. Highly recommend!

We hired Hamco Heating & Cooling Ltd. for HVAC work on a renovation project that required an in-duct smoke detector as part of the final inspection process.Unfortunately, after the detector was installed, we were advised that the sensor had failed and needed to be replaced, allegedly due to construction dust. This was despite the unit being installed by Hamco while the site was visibly still under construction. No clear written warning, installation restriction, or protection instruction was provided to us before installation advising that the detector should not be installed, operated, or exposed under those conditions.When the issue arose, Hamco took the position that the damage was not covered. We requested documentation, service notes, and a proper explanation of the cost and responsibility, but Hamco maintained its position and refused to replace the failed component at its own cost.Because the homeowner and Building Inspector required the issue to be resolved, we had to proceed with another qualified contractor to address the problem.In my opinion, the situation could have been handled much better. As the HVAC contractor supplying and installing specialized equipment, Hamco should have clearly advised on any limitations, site-condition risks, and protection requirements before proceeding. The lack of clear communication and the refusal to take responsibility created unnecessary cost, delay, and frustration.Based on this experience, I would be cautious about using Hamco Heating & Cooling Ltd. again, especially on renovation or construction projects where coordination, documentation, and clear communication are critical.

I've been dealing with Hamco now for 26 years - on my 3rd house and have only had good experiences with Hamco. An example of how their staff go above and beyond is during the installation of my furnace in 2006, my elderly neighbour complained about the wasps flying around her house. The furnace installers noticed where they were going in and resolved the problem.I get the air-conditioner checked annually and the technicians are always professional and knowledgeable. A special shout-out to Cameron who looked after the inspection today and explained the readings today.I would, without reservation, recommend Hamco to anyone needing heating and cooling equipment.

After doing a significant amount of research I contracted with HAMCO to install a heat pump to replace my aging air conditioner, and a new furnace. Andrew Vasilak handled the transaction, and he was terrific to deal with. He was helpful, informative, and there were no high pressure sales tactics. The quote was identical to what I paid.The installation of the products was superb! Both my new heat pump and furnace were installed in one day. The four men who did the installation were on time, dependable and thorough. Since the installation the heat pump has been superb. Air quality in the house is significantly better, and the air temperature has been constant. I had one minor problem, and called HAMCO late at night on a long holiday weekend for assistance. I had a return phone call back in five minutes, a repairman out to my house the next morning, and the problem was fixed quickly. The service technician who dealt with my issue was professional, polite and responsive.HAMCO has been around since 1946. They are an established Hamilton company that offers old fashioned, high quality service at a fair price. I would not hesitate to recommend them.Update: May 12/26I just had HAMCO into perform an annual inspection of my heat pump, furnace and water heater. Christian did an amazing job! He was professional, thorough and extremely detailed. He took the time to explain what he was doing, and his answers to my questions were clear and concise.I continue to be impressed with HAMCO. They do amazing work, and it is reassuring to know you can depend upon them when necessary.

Hamco installed my AC unit about 7–8 years ago, and they’ve been great to work with ever since. Their service is consistently excellent. Steve recently came by to troubleshoot an issue, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He went above and beyond, even helping with a couple of other concerns. Outstanding service all around.

Najim from Hamco has worked with us a few times and has always been very professional and helpful. Today he came in to make an adjustment to our backyard gas line so we can properly install our barbecue. He was able to trouble shoot and come up with a solution to connect our older barbecue and have it work within a few minutes. Thank you Najim!

On one of the coldest days in February on a weekend my furnace stopped working. I called Hamco because they do yearly maintenance checks. Derek called me immediately to discuss the problem and within an hour he arrived. There was a problem with the pressure switch and he fixed it. That was a temporary fix until a new pressure switch was ordered and installed this week. Derek was a life saver that weekend. He is very professional and knowledgeable. Derek came by to install a new intake and exhaust for our boiler. He did excellent, tidy work and finished quickly. Before starting, he clearly communicated his plan and asked for my preferences. I appreciated that he left the are clean afterwards, which seems to be rare when people are undertaking work outside.

I had 3 air conditioners/heating installed. Jordan came to initially assess the situation. He is a very polite and thorough person. Once confirmed, his crew came to install the units. It was pouring rain& they not once complained. They worked diligently and effortlessly to install the units inside and out.They were all so polite and cleaned up after the job was done. Derek was very helpful in assisting me to choose which model of thermostat would best meet my needs. As he was installing it, he explained every step and how I need to maintain it going into the future. He was very safety conscious in instructing me about turning on and off the electricity, as he did. I appreciated his awareness of costs and quality of products.
